Phlebotomy Training Program
What is a Phlebotomy:
A phlebotomy technician is responsible for the collecting of blood specimens for the laboratory to help diagnose health conditions and illnesses.
A phlebotomy technician is also responsible for prepping lab equipment, gauging a patient’s reaction to the blood draw and collect the fluids correctly.
Some technicians will be responsible for properly disposing and shipping blood samples to laboratories outside of their place of employment, ensuring the right samples are received.
Phlebotomy is the fastest growing among all occupations according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics
Phlebotomy Training is a 12 week program, 2 days a week 3 hour classes.
Training Overview
The Phlebotomy training Follows guidelines established by the Department of Health Services in preparation
for national phlebotomy technician certification exam and employment as a certified phlebotomy technician.
